Another petit dejeuner again today, still not caught putting jam on my croissant 😉.
Travelled on the metro again today, getting value from my travel card.
Now I haven't said much about the gypsies so far, I have seen a few around but they have been keeping a pretty low profile, probably due to all the police and security around their usual haunts. This morning I went to Sacre Coeur, this is the big white church on the top of the hill near Montmarte. Well the gypsies were there in strength. There were a lot of the young girls trying to get you to sign a petition to support the little deaf kiddies and then once you sign they try and get you to pay them money. The really funny thing is that because they are trying to get you sign a petition about the deaf they pretend to be deaf and then a few minutes later you see them chatting amongst themselves.

When I was walking along Boulevard St Michel looking for somewhere for lunch a family of Americans asked me for directions to Notre Dame. I told them to walk down Boulvard St Michel until they reached the river and then turn right and then walk along until they came across the big building that looks a lot like a big church. I hope they found it.
I also visited the Pantheon, this is a large classical building on the edge of the Latin Quarter near the Sorbonne (university). At various times it has been a church or a building used for public ceremonies. This usually depends on whether France is a republic or a monarchy at the time. It is also has crypt in which numerous famous French peoples are buried including, Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Emile Zola, Louis Braille, the Curies (Mr & Mrs) and various resistance heroes from WWII.

I love plain croissants! Jam definitely ruins it
